I discovered Richard Renaldi's work completely by accident while surfing Flickr. I saw a beautifully executed nude self portrait on a beach and was immediately struck by the talented execution of the image. A few clicks later and I had found Renaldi's website. I then spent an hour looking though an amazing breadth of beautiful images ranging from travel to still life and, above all, stunning portraiture. Renaldi's style is spare without being cold; thoroughly modern but very human. What a pleasurable discovery. There's a social consciousness that runs through his photography, a celebration of all that we are, the wonder in the diversity of how we live our lives. He seems to capture the 'tangible' so well, be it in Vietnam or somewhere in middle America. (but where are the nudes...) Highly recommended.
