I discovered Scott's work on Flickr and was immediately taken by his aesthetics. Since then, we've become friends and collaborated on Mascular Magazine. His work is in portraiture reminds me of the great masters in painting - no surprise as he admits to being inspired by them. But there's more. He captures a sense of mood and and place with a quiet confidence that I find thrilling. Hamilton's work is considered, structured and purposeful. What I like in particular is that each image has an added, sometimes unexpected, element that invites you to look again and consider what it is he's actually saying. It's well worth taking your time when looking at his work - you'll be rewarded for the effort.
